What expectations do businesses have regarding future industrial policy?

Challenge

Vejle Municipality wants to be an attractive place to do business, and work is underway in the municipality to formulate a new industrial policy. Businesses are involved in this work in many ways, but to ensure representative knowledge of their expectations, a study among business leaders with focus on the future, the challenges and opportunities, and their expectations was to be conducted.

Approach

Epinion conducted an analysis that combined broad and representative knowledge in the form of a survey involving 300 local business leaders distributed geographically and across company sizes and industries, with focus groups which subsequently dive deep into details on some of the key parameters that businesses have generally identified.

Resolution

The analysis identified several key focus areas which businesses want the municipality to work on. The analysis thus provides the municipality with an opportunity to ensure that the initiatives meet the expectations of local businesses – including businesses that do not normally get involved in public debates.
